Long ago, us here at The Toyota Oakdale Theatre began bringing you some of the best and most eclectic shows and experiences right here to our front door - and nothing’s changed since! And now, with a team that has mastered all four elements, we can save our Autumn months from being a complete drag. And luckily - the Avatar will be here to help us all out! Especially when the tour comes to town!
Avatar The Last Airbender, everyone’s ultimate favorite early teen show, is coming to town this October - and they’re bringing that heat with them! On Friday October 10th, catch Avatar The Last Airbender In Concert right here and master all the four elements right along with us.

Avatar The Last Airbender is one of the most commercially successful animated TV shows that Nickelodeon has ever produced - and in kids TV history at large. The series premiered in 2005 and went on to have three original seasons that spanned until 2008 - but has been rebooted, made into movies, and gained successive rounds of revitalization since then. Still in the topic of conversation today (and a must watch for all your younger brothers and his friends), the show has managed to become a cultural juggernaut for its impactful messages and insanely cool perceptions of the world. And having the show here at Toyota Oakdale this October will truly be one of those once in a lifetime experiences! On Friday, October 10th, catch the crew right here in the heart of Wallingford for a can’t miss show. And with 135 shows planned for the entire year (!!!), you know you’re going to want to catch this one while you still can and before it’s too late.
Avatar The Last Airbender is set in a fantastical world where you can bend the four elements - water fire earth air - with your mind and at your own free will depending on family bloodline and where you are located geographically. Beginning in the South Pole where main characters Katara and Sokka live, the first moments of the show see the siblings floating on a boat and they discover a massive underwater iceberg - which has the then 100 years disappeared Avatar, Aang, inside of it. They are able to set him free, and then embark on a year-long journey where Aang must learn all the elements, battle with the Fire Lord, and save the world. Pretty cool way to spend your days as a 13 year old if you ask me. The series hits a lot of topics throughout the original sixty one episodes - including war, genocide, sexism, class warfare, political corruption, and free choice. The show has won many awards - including a Kid’s Choice Award and an Emmy - and is regarded as one of the best t.v. shows of the 21st century. And now, bringing the music from our screens right to our ears and our eyes, everyone has raved about the live shows, and we can’t wait to be here with you for all the fun (and tears) as we go through some of the most magical moments of the show.
