Wallingford, the superb time-machine rock band, Almost Queen, is coming to your neck of the woods on 18 October 2024 with their Tribute to Queen Tour!

Almost Queen is literally almost Queen – “guaranteed to blow your mind”. They started out because of the love of Queen, and they are bigger than ever today because of the love of Queen. With their genuine costumes, roof-raising energy, incredible attention to detail, captivating musical performance, stunning visuals, pitch-perfect renditions, iconic four-part vocal harmonies, and accurate stage demeanor, Almost Queen never disappoints – it is almost as though Queen is there themselves.
The Almost Queen line-up comprises the incredibly talented and experienced theatre-performer Joseph Russo as Freddy Mercury, lead vocalist and pianist; Steve Leonard as Brian May, complete with iconic guitar solos and epic riffs; bassist Randy Gregg as John Deacon, with his vast experience of playing in touring rock bands; and drummer John Cappadona as Roger Taylor, an absolute legend behind the drum set and a natural showman.
Almost Queen is doing a killer job of letting audiences experience the magic and greatness of Queen for themselves. While the set list for each show contains iconic bangers, Almost Queen also performs some of the lesser-known songs, such as “Flash”, “Love of My Life”, and “Spread Your Wings”. It is uncontested: not only does Almost Queen pay tribute to one of the greatest rock bands ever respectfully, but they also bring a taste of Queen performing live to younger generations.
The 4,803 capacity landmark Toyota Oakdale Theatre regularly hosts a wide variety of world-class acts – some of the best Connecticut has to offer. The theatre is spread out across two floors: while the orchestral floor offers up-close and personal experiences with the band that make fans do a double-take when they take the stage, the balcony offers a bird’s-eye view of the spectacular Almost Queen.
