Ashanti:
Ashanti is well known for her Grammy Award-winning debut album “Ashanti.” The album included the smash single Foolish. The album set a Soundscan record for the most albums sold by a first-time female artist, outselling Alicia Keys and Lauryn Hill debuts. Later that year, she was dubbed the "Princess of Hip-Hop & R&B" by the media. She followed up her successful debut with eight Billboard awards and two American Music Awards.

A year ago, she re-recorded her debut album. “What she is trying to do is re-record all those great records, and put them out on her label,” Gotti, the co-founder of her former label, wrote. “She can do this under the COVER laws. But she is basically trying to f— me out of my masters. And make people decide which album to listen too or stream. Hoping her loyal fans will choose her version. But hey. I stand on the Magic that was created. And I wanna see her duplicate that Magic. It’s f—- up really. But such is life.”

Lloyd:
Lloyd's solo debut single "Southside" (with Ashanti) was released as the title track off his debut album, Southside (2004). The record rapidly appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a top 40 smash in the United States. Street Love, his second album, was released in 2007 and contained the top 20 songs "You" (with Lil Wayne) and "Get It Shawty."

His career took off after he was featured on Young Money's popular single "BedRock" in 2009-10. He followed up with the Like Me: The Young Goldie EP in 2009. He then signed with Interscope and Zone 4 in March 2010. His fourth album, King of Hearts, was released in 2011 via the aforementioned labels. The lead track, "Lay It Down," reached the top ten on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

702:
An R&B girl group who kicked off in the 90s? Yes, please. 702’s most well-known lineup consists of Kameelah Williams and sisters Irish and LeMisha Grinstead. Their first album, No Doubt, was released in 1996 and sold 500,000 copies in the United States. The trio recorded the most renowned 702 song, "Where My Girls At?" on the album 702 in 1999, which was a huge hit for the group, selling half a million copies in the US.
