After the amazing success of Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade 2023 tour, they’ve announced that they’re coming to Toyota Oakdale Theatre on Saturday 21st October 2023.
This will be a new, two-set show that “delves deeper into their own remarkable catalog” as well as their impressive full album performance of Pink Floyd’s Animals.
This marks the first time Les Claypool goes on tour with his ’00s-era group Flying Frog Brigade for two whole decades!! The set will feature bangers from songs from throughout Les Claypool’s legendary career, as well as hits from legends like King Crimson, The Beatles, the Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory soundtrack - just to name a few!
“There is a pretty rich catalog of material there so there will definitely be stuff from my entire career,” Les Claypool says. “It won’t just be the Frog Brigade era, but the big element of the Frog Brigade is gonna be playing Animals. But this time we’re doing it with just one guitar and with five marimbas and saxophones so this will be a new interpretation.”

Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade is a musical project with rotating personnel, led by American singer/bassist Les Claypool. The Frog Brigade was formed in the summer of 2000 during a hiatus from Claypool’s main group Primus. After over 20 years, Les Claypool has regrouped his Fearless Flying Frog Brigade!! Long considered to be one of the animated bassist’s most beloved bands, Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade boasts longtime Frog Brigade members Skerik (sax), Mike Dillon (percussion), as well as Sean Lennon (guitar), Harry Waters (keys) and Paulo Baldi (drums).
The band was formed in summer 2000 and disrupted the music scene with its signature sound. Les Claypool has described their sound as, “It’s kind of a King Crimson meets Pink Floyd meets Frank Zappa.” Fans can expect a unique blend of original materia, choice covers from Les Claypool’s impressive catalog, as well as Pink Floyd’s 1977 psychedelic masterpiece, Animals. Back in 2001, Les Claypool released the legendary Live Frogs Set 1 and 2, with the latter showcasing the Frog Brigade's award winning performance of Animals. The subsequent year saw the Frog Brigade drop the full length studio album titled Purple Onion - impressing both fans and fellow musicians with its fresh content.
