A story of difficult love between an unlikely pair, Moulin Rouge! The Musical shares with us a devoted but difficult love story in the equally passionate locale of Paris, France. At the center of Montmartre, Christian, a passionate American writer who moves in Montmartre with the goal of achieving his dreams, encounters the most beautiful woman he has seen and performer, Satine, in the nightclub Moulin Rouge. Christian and Satine then struggle to keep their love alive against all odds, as another affluent patron sets his target on Satine as his prize.

Paying tribute to Baz Luhrmann's original that was created more than a decade after the 2001 movie, this Broadway play's early challenge was to present an unfamiliar setting to a new generation. The genius stroke of the production, just like the original motion picture, was to share the 2019 stage adaptation with alternate and fresh renditions of modern popular arrangements. The obvious solution was to add tremendously to the musical numbers and truly make the musical into a “a creative peek into the 1900s”, as the creators name it. The outcome, as seen on the actual stage, was an enormous collection of breathtaking medleys, mash-ups, and numbers.
