Simon & Garfunkel Story Tour is going to Connecticut as they stop for storytelling of the best musical duo of all time, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, and how the team rose from their humble beginnings to the peak of the mainstream media in a musical at Toyota Oakdale Theatre on Sunday, March 3, 2024. The musical celebration of the duo’s contribution to music will spark an interest for the fans to witness.

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel are elementary friends, and they used that connection to build a synergy that soon will pay off. As teenagers, they starred as Tom & Jerry and had their first minor breakthrough in the song Hey Schoolgirl in 1957. The major spotlight was on Simon & Garfunkel when they released their second album, Sounds of Silence, which was featured in the film The Graduate. Like in every partnership, disagreements are causing their break up in 1970, but their music still lives on as their final album, Bridge over Troubled Water, becomes one of the best-selling albums in the world. They also received Grammy Awards and were also inducted in the Hall of Fame of Rock and Roll.

Reliving the story of the duo is William Sharp and Oliver Cave. William Sharp is a music guru and also a professional bass player for many of the known pop artists. As he was cast in the Simon & Garfunkel Story, he seized the opportunity to play the other half of the iconic duo. Oliver Cave will debut in Simon & Garfunkel Story as Art Garfunkel, where he gives his gratitude to the characters of Robbie Hart, Simon Chachava, and Billy Crocker.

Directed by Dean Elliott, the show will be in good hands as he is one of the most prominent and experienced artists in the industry. Playing the role of Buddy Holly in the musical Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story and several achievements on the theater scene. Keeping the show alive with the music accompaniment is the live band composed of Leon Camfield (bass), Will Tuckwell (electric guitar/keyboards), and Mat Swales (drums).
