The Toyota Oakdale Theatre is excited to host The Best Of The ‘70s show with DizzyFish, alongside Special Guests The Uptown Horns and Jeff Pitchell.

This concert will be an epic blast from the past! Drawing inspiration from iconic rock bands of (you guessed it!) the seventies, this ‘The Best of the 70s’ show is a celebration of the greatest music of all time! From Neil Young, The Beatles, and Van Morrison right through to Willie Nelson, Neil Diamond, and Led Zeppelin, there’s no better musicians to pay tribute to this legendary era than DizzyFish, The Uptown Horns and Jeff Pitchell.

Led by lead singer Eric Herbst and Special Guest backup artist Angela Clemmons, DizzyFish is an awesome group who combines pop hooks with hard-hitting rock riffs. The Uptown Horns is an effortlessly cool band that romps rollicking blues and smooth R&B soul, while Jeff Pitchell is an immensely talented musician that has been inducted into the Connecticut Blues Hall of Fame.

Hailing from the UK, DizzyFish is a pop and rock band which has built up a large following. Led by lead singer Eric Herbst and Special Guest backup artist Angela Clemmons, the group blends classic rock with modern pop. Thanks to their impressive live shows and catchy tunes, music fans have fallen in love with their music. The concert features the timeless tracks of legends, including Neil Young, The Beatles, Van Morrison, The Rolling Stones, America, John Denver, The Eagles, CSN, James Taylor, Bob Seger, Billy Joel, Cat Stevens, Willie Nelson, Neil Diamond, The Band, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Buffet, and The Grateful Dead - just to name a few!

This epic throwback event features supporting acts Uptown Horns and Jeff Pitchell. Uptown Horns is an impressive NYC-based band that consists of the saxists Crispin Cioe and Arno Hecht, trombonist Bob Funk and trumpeter Larry Etkin. During their awesome career, they’ve toured worldwide and gained a devoted following in the process! Talking about their epic ‘The Uptown Horns Revue’ album, the Billboard writes “Hailed for their collaborative efforts with everyone from the Rolling Stones to RuPaul, this four-man New York brass band, puts itself and its favored instruments in the foreground on a fiery album that romps from rollicking blues to smooth R&B soul with the ease and speed of an uptown express.” Meanwhile, Jeff Pitchell is an immensely talented musician that has been inducted into the Connecticut Blues Hall of Fame. When he’s not playing awesome tunes as a solo artist, he’s leading the band Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood performing original and classic rock tracks.

The Toyota Oakdale Theatre is the perfect place to host The Best of the ‘70s show. This era was the venue's heyday. Not only was the iconic wood dome erected in 1972 but the seating capacity was increased from 1700 to 3200. During the groovy seventies, the biggest entertainers graced the stage. Staples every summer included music powerhouses like Englebert Humperdinck, Liberace, The Carpenters, and Dolly Parton, as well as comedians such as Don Rickles and Rich Little.
