For both young and old at heart, SHREK THE MUSICAL is a funny fairy tale adventure featuring a cast of colorful characters and a "shrek-tacular" tune! Along on the ride is the witty Donkey and the spirited Princess Fiona, who is reluctant to accept her rescue. Our unexpected hero sets out on an adventure that will change his life. You have the makings of a mess that requires a true hero when you add in a rude person with a short fuse, a cookie with a terrible attitude, and more than a dozen other misfits from fairy tales. Fortunately, one is available, and his name is Shrek. Being green isn't easy, but this outrageously entertaining musical shows that beauty really is in the ogre's eye!

Tony Award-winning duo Jeanine Tesori (music) and David Lindsay-Abaire (book) have re-visited their first collaboration - Shrek the Musical. This time around, they’re set to deliver a more intimate and engaging experience for the audience. With all-new original direction and choreography by Danny Mefford (Choreographer, Dear Evan Hansen), updated version of SHREK THE MUSICAL returns to the show's origins by introducing a fresh perspective on love and highlighting the significance of loving oneself and one another.

David Lindsay-Abaire said in a statement: “It's been such a gift to get to revisit the show after all these years and rethink some of the choices and reimagine the piece as a whole. This all-new production is leaner and more focused. It's joyful and funny and feels beautifully hand-crafted in a way that really brings out the things we first fell in love with – the heart and wonder and humor of the story.”

“We wanted to make a show that families could come to, to laugh and be moved. Something that would create a memory, because everybody has felt like an ogre now and then,” Jeanine Tesori added.

To all families who can’t get enough of Shrek, don’t miss out on the opportunity to see Shrek the Musical LIVE when it comes to Wallingford, Connecticut!
